Hey Crew, Before the workout today, I just wanted to touch a bit on one more thing from yesterday’s message on “Trusting the Process”: Confidence. It is incredibly empowering to have true confidence in yourself. That applies universally, but for now I am speaking with respect to aesthetics, strength, cardio, and functional skills. If you trust the process, you will gain the confidence that you have control over your body. And that is something no one can give you nor take away from you. The human body is extremely complicated, but the models we care about are very simple. You put in work, and you get out results. You do a hard thing for a long time, and you get a rarely achieved result out. You push that muscle just a bit more than it’s used to, and you keep that up every week for a few months, and all of a sudden it got stronger. Yes, genetics play a role. Yes, your athletic background matters. But those are blips in comparison to cold, hard discipline. Choose a reasonable approach to reach your goals and stick with it with aggressive discipline. Over time, you will get to where you want to go. Do this a few times, and you will not only look how you want, but you will feel how you want. You will have confidence in your ability to control yourself. And that is a strength that transcends the gym or your belt loops, it impacts how you tackle work projects, how you care for friends, how you confront vulnerability. Notes on today’s workout
