Hi Crew,
How are you feeling these days? I had a hard weekend emotionally. What happened? Nothing in particular, just the emotional ups and downs of being a person in quarantine. I’m sure you’ve all been experiencing similar things in your own way. Anyone who knows me knows I’ve dealt with depression on and off over the last few years, and the number one thing that gets me through is just knowing I will make it through. Honestly, it comes down to just needing to Trust The Process. My first bout of true depression came around the middle of college. I had a couple year stretch of really having lost myself and I had months where I didn’t feel anything - not good not bad, just nothing. Bella Swan stuff. It was really hard in the newest, most confusing way possible. It’s a long story of how I got through it, but thankfully, I did push through and now I will always remember that I did. The lesson for me, and maybe for you, is to just commit to the things I need. Commit to being me authentically and connecting with others the way I need to. Put in that work, and I will make it through the darker times. Trust the Process. So maybe that means you need to have someone help you into a really hard workout. Maybe that means you need to do a super easy workout, just a few pushups every minute for 10 mins and that’s all. Maybe workout isn’t what you need and you just need to talk with someone. Whatever that thing you need it, figure it out, keep trying things, and push through. We’ll all make it through. Just Trust the Process. Maybe you just need some deep-stretch relaxing yoga.
