How are your pecs and shoulders feeling? Little sore? That’s great to hear. Suck that feeling in. Bathe in it. Greatness doesn’t come to you - you have to chase it, pin it down, and devour it for yourself. Alternatively, you could read these emails and think to yourself “wow I rly should workout”, and then revert to bring a potato. The choice is yours. Please give me feedback if you found this too hard, too easy, too long, too short. Are the liked videos helpful or are you having a hard time because you feel like you have to watch 20 mins of videos to do one workout. Any suggestions to make this more effective?

Dear Quaranturnt Crew, Quote of the day: “I didn’t do the workout, but I read the whole email and it was a *great* email.” Love it, but let’s get working. Yesterday was quick, right? Harder than expected, though. The slow tempo pushups bring on some real pain. Let’s see what kind of pain we get today :) Today we will be tackling a few pullups (or similar, depending on strength and equipment). A LOT of you said your goal for this quarantine is to get a pullup, so I wanted to get working towards that soon. Also, pullups are absolutely freakin baller so we all gotta get it anyway. Tip on Reps Dessert is my favorite because you were sad - thinking you were all done with no more workout to do - but then you get a sweet surprise of more work to do!
Any questions? Ask! MGS P.S. I met a really great gym owner a year back and she makes these travel backpacks that have water reservoirs for you to fill and use as weights when you’re on the road….or quarantined. Highly recommend to use now and during any work travel you do in the future, or just going on any trips. If you buy anything, use the code QUARANTURNT. You won’t get anything but an error message, but hey it was exciting for a second at least. Dear Quaranturnt Crew, Thank you all for answering my first email. I loved learning about what you are trying to do, what you have access to, and what you see that is good in the world. A lot of you want to get stronger and lose some fat, some of you have some capability targets, and some of you are psychos and plan to become an entirely new you as we become a new world. I’m so happy to be here with all this. As the days go on,
The first tip I’ll give you is this: Let me know how this goes! Ask if you have any questions. I’d be happy to talk with anyone if you’d like to discuss ideas on how to make your covid-free bunker work for you - we can get creative with weights and equipment.
Hey there aspiring strong people,
I don't know if you've noticed, but we have a situation on our hands. They're still making those damn Avengers movies, yes, but that's not the situation I'm referring to. I'm talking about our daily mecca to our own situation room, our fortress of metabolic solitude, the one true iron throne: the gym. We don't have the luxury of equipment or in-person coaches. We've agreed it's best to resign to our apartments, but remember that no one is strapping us down to the couch. You each have a decision to make. Do you want to write this time off as a loss to your routine? Do you want to cross your fingers and hold your breath until fresh air comes to you? Or do you want to take a strong grasp on your own reality? Do you want to learn something new about what you can become? Do you want to step up, seize that freaking lemon and squeeze it into some Dom Pérignon? If so, then keep reading. We've got a new life ahead, and it's not one about mitigating damage. This transition to a new life is about adapting to our reality and creating something even better than before. So I'm here as your athletic shaman to lead you through the darkness of this scary forest, brush away the brush, and show you the stone cold path to your own inner light. Your own inner strength. I'm here to give you workouts. I've read books, I follow endless coaches and athletes on social media, and I care about doing this work myself. This month right here might be the reason why I put all this time in. I've dedicated endless time to working out, and maybe my raison d'etre is coming together now so I can provide you a workout and a community. So I'll be doing the work to come up with daily workouts, and I want to provide that to you. On top of that, I want to provide community to you as people who are here, together, making this unexpected time not just tolerable, but actually a godsent blessing where we learn more about ourselves and each other. My only questions are: Are you interested? Are you ready to get quaranturnt? I intend to source workouts every day, send them out early, and be ready for any questions you may have. The structure of the workouts will be a resistance training portion (time to get creative without them bars n' plates) followed by a heart racing circuit of some kind. I'll provide links to my favorite resources as needed. I'll be here for any questions you have related to getting creative with creating equipment, dealing with existing injuries, focusing on certain weaknesses, etc. If you want this daily workout, as well as likely some comically inspiring ramblings, then reply back and tell me
